  3. If you do not have MS Video for Windows drivers installed,
  4. you should ensure that the option (below) is checked.
  5. These drivers are required to display *.AVI files.
  6.  
  7. If you have version 1.0 installed, you should also select
  8. this option because Video for Window v1.1 files are not
  9. compatible with earlier drivers.
  10.  
  11. After Video for Windows Runtime is setup, you will be
  12. prompted to "Restart Windows...". DO NOT select this option.
  13. If you do, the Image Commander installation will not
  14. finish and you will have to run it again. After Image
  15. Commander Installation has completed, you should then
  16. exit Windows and restart it in order to activate the Video
  17. for Windows drivers.

  19. Although .FLi/.FLC animation files are supported, the driver
  20. (MCIAAP.DRV) required is not automatically installed. If you
  21. do not have this driver, it can be obtained by contacting
  22. AutoDesk or via their ASOFT forum on Compuserve.

  24. Terms for Microsoft Video for Windows Runtime

  26. Microsoft grants to you the right to reproduce
  27. and distribute the runtime modules of the SOFTWARE
  28. provided that you: (a) distribute the runtime
  29. modules only in conjunction with and as a part of an
  30. application program or data file, and not as part of
  31. any operating system or utility program, or on a
  32. standalone basis; (b) do not use Microsoft's name,
  33. logo, or trademarks in any marketing or advertising;
  34. (c) include a valid copyright notice on your product;
  35. and (d) agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend
  36. Microsoft and its suppliers from and against any
  37. claims or lawsuits, including attorneys' fees, that
  38. arise or result from the use or distribution of your
  39. product which incorporates the runtime modules.  The
  40. "runtime modules" are those files in the SOFTWARE so
  41. identified in the written materials accompanying the
  42. SOFTWARE.  If required in the SOFTWARE documentation,
  43. you agree to display the designated patent notices on
  44. the packaging and in the README file of your product.
  45. The license in this section to distribute the runtime
  46. modules is royalty-free provided that your application
  47. program or data file incorporating the runtime modules
  48. is created for operation on the Microsoft(R) Windows(TM),
  49. Windows NT (TM), or Modular Windows (TM) operating
  50. systems.  Please contact Microsoft for the applicable
  51. licensing terms for all other uses of the runtime modules.
